Five Things About Me

Ronald tagged me in a little blogging activity were you reveal 5 things that most people don’t know about you.

Five things about me:

  • I’ve been bitten in the face by two dogs. The first time I was 5 years old, a Husky attacked me after I stepped on it’s tail. I have a scar on my upper lip and my right eye brow. The second time a Dalmatian just went crazy and attacked the left side of my face. Yeah, I have a small fear of large dogs.
  • I raced BMX for 2 years. When I was 16, I was ranked #1 in the state for my class.
  • When I was 6, I got mad at my mom for something stupid, went into my bedroom and proceeded to climb into my clothes hamper. My dad had to be called home from work to cut me out with a saw.
  • I used to hate Macs. Now I refuse to use anything else.
  • Once I ordered my coursework from the writing service.

Verizon Has No Sense

I never have liked Verizon all that much, and I’m not sure why. I think it may be their ‘network’ commercials. Does it really take that many people to get one customer’s phone working? Alright, advertising aside, it seems they lack major math skills in the customer service area.

This poor customer was quoted a different amount for data usage than he was charged. Not one, not two, but three service representatives, including a manager, fails to recognize the difference between $0.002 and 0.002¢. You will have to read the customer’s blog, and listen to the phone call to understand how stupid these service reps are.

I hope someone at Verizon’s corporate office sees what is going on and fixes this guys bill.

MacHeist Invites

I know, I haven’t posted anything in 2 months. I’ve been pretty busy with school as well as a new job. But I have had time to browse around and stay up to date with the Mac scene. I came across MacHeist. MacHeist is a fun way to get nice deals on Mac shareware programs.

I don’t want to ruin the surprise but I’ve gotten over $20 worth of software for free already. I’ve got 3 invites to anyone that is interested. Just leave a comment.

By the way, check out 1Passwd!

Notifications For All

Introducing Notification, a pane-less Mint pepper that sends the site owner an email when a specified criteria is met. The user can select between total or unique visits for either the hour, day, week, month, or overall time period. This could be used to find out when your site reaches a specific milestone, or to find out when previous months hits have been passed.

I would like to thank Ronald from cavemonkey50.com for his help with this project. This probably would have never been released if it wasn’t for his help.

What are you waiting for? Head over to the the Notification project page, to download now.
